Communications & Member Services Coordinator – #7428 – A

The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce (LCC) is seeking a creative communicator to fill the role of Communications & Member Services Coordinator. The incumbent will report directly to the Executive Director and as a key member of the team, take a lead role in developing, delivering, and managing all LCC communications, covering traditional and digital with the purpose of attracting new members, increasing member engagement and provide support through various member events & programs. This is a one year full time contract position, requiring 35 hours of work per week.

- Work across the organizations initiatives to execute communication strategies & digital campaigns
- Develop and implement our communications calendar, create content, post content, and engage with members on our social media platforms- Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Maintain and grow social media audiences through proactive strategies
- Research, develop and implement media & communications collateral including social media posts, electronic newsletters, event flyers, brochures, articles, press releases and print advertising, as needed
- Website maintenance- content updates, create web banners, page creation, review analytics
- Monitor, analyze and provide monthly reports on social media performance
- Monitor and respond to membership advertising inquiries
- Assist with member services projects {i.e. shop local initiatives, rapid antigen program}
- Represent the Chamber at events as staff support
- Other duties/tasks as assigned
- Post-secondary education in Communications/Marketing/Business Administration or similar field of study or equivalent experience
- Tech-savvy; demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Photoshop and related creative programs
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication across different platforms
- Knowledge or experience working with email marketing platforms (i.e. Constant Contact)
- Proficiency using WordPress, Hootsuite, Later or other programs an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work under tight timelines
- Proactive approach, takes initiative and ability to problem solve
Working Conditions:
- The position currently requires working in-person at the Chamber office at least two days per week. Working arrangements can be flexible (i.e. hybrid) based on public health guidance.
- The schedule for this position may require the incumbent to occasionally work flexible hours, including evenings, to accommodate events and/or meetings.
- There may be travel to locations off site for in-person events
Note: A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle for work related travel is necessary
