Employment Help Centre is seeking a full time Manager of Employment Programs & Services. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Executive Director and in close contact with the rest of the staff to provide professional services to the clientele of the Employment Help Centre in accordance with the policies established by the Board of Directors.
The Manager of Employment Programs & Services will play an integral role in contributing to the overall success of Employment Help Centre.
Program & Services Management
- Oversee the delivery of funded employment programs and services (primarily the Employment Services program)
- Manage data in FedCap Cares database and through internal trackers
- Manage Employer Training Incentive Summary Reports for each office
- Manage Job Seeker Supports Summary Reports for each office
- Oversee employer outreach and relationships
- Clarify guidelines, client procedures and processes and answer general questions
- Monitor quality and performance standards
- Assist with funders’ file audits and site visits
- Conduct file audits
- Forecasting statistics for fiscal year, reviewed and reported monthly
- Liaise with the Manager of Operations, Financial Coordinator and applicable Team Leaders
- Develop and monitor client scheduling with Resource Advisors (RAs), Job Developers (JDs), and Program & Outreach Facilitators (POFs)
- Coordinate staffing complements in relation to RAs, JDs & POFs
- Facilitate and coordinate staff meetings
- Sign off on training supports, employer incentives and expense claims
- Overseeing the training, monitoring and coaching of new RAs, JDs & POFs
- Implementation of new programs and services
- Participate in recruitment process for RAs, JDs, POFs and their respective Team Leaders
- Organize training for staff on an as needed basis
- Maintain and conduct monthly performance management reviews on an individual basis with RAs, JDs & POFs
- Allocate clients based on performance management standards
- Attend relevant community meetings
- Job development or employment advising as needed
- Assist with Annual Performance Appraisals
- Other projects as assigned by management
Canada Ontario Job Grant (COJG) Program Management
- Monitoring COJG applications daily
- Manage all COJG applications and employer files
- Conduct initial assessment of all COJG application
- Prepare all COJG Training Agreements for approved applications
- Oversee the delivery of the COJG program and Employer Outreach
- Entering into CAMS all COJG Training Agreements, Employer and Participant Registration Forms and COJG follow-ups
- Conduct Employer COJG File Audits
- Managing COJG Financials and Targets
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration; Human Resources; or Social Sciences
- Certificate in leadership, change management, or mediation is an asset
- Minimum of 1-3 years management, supervisory experience or team leadership experience
- Extensive knowledge of Employment Ontario Programs and Services
- A valid driver’s licence and be insured for employment travel and have access to reliable transportation for the purpose of inter-office travel
- High level of integrity regarding privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent problem solving skills; having the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner while gathering and analyzing information skillfully
- Proficient user of applicable programs and applications, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite; CAMS; CATS; FedCap Cares, etc.
